History

The company Agronuts S.A. was established in 2002 in Sykourio, Larissa, following the transformation of the Private Company of Eleni Lanara into a Limited Liability Company, based at 14th km Larissas - Sykouriou.

In 2007, it was transformed into an S.A.

The establishment of the company in Kavala is considered to be a strategic move, given the fact that it is a region with the largest and most qualitative production of almonds.

The aim of this move is the covering of as many productive regions as possible, alongside the decreasing in the production costs.

During the years following its establishment, with a perspective and a vision, the company Agronuts S.A. took steps in order to strengthen its productive infrastructures, ensure the quality of the products it produces and proceed with activities related to the extension and securing of its business activity.

Indicatively:

Obtaining of quality assurance certifications according to the quality standards ISO 9001:2000 and ELOT 1416 (HACCP) in 2005.
Submission of a 2.300.000 Euros investment portfolio to the Ministry of Agriculture, for the restructuring of the material infrastructure and the company facilities.
Extension of the already existing cultivable lands through the addition of 38 privately owned acres for the cultivation of almonds.
Obtaining of modern mechanical equipment in 2006, following the approval of the investment program by the Ministry of Agriculture.
Signing of contracts for the cultivation of approximately 400 acres and their addition to the already existing 400 acres for the cultivation of almonds in the region of Larissa in 2007 and increase of the total production of almond kernel to 600 tons per year.
Application of the 2007 integrated administration system according to the standards AGRO 2.1 - 2.2.
Obtaining of quality assurance certification to the quality standard ISO 22000:2005 in 2008.
Completion of processes and obtaining of International quality model of quality assurance BRC in 2009 as well as certification of Biologically Almonds.
Renewal of certifications according to models of AGRO 2.2& 2.1, ISO 22000 and BRC as well as obtaining of International quality assurance certification IFS.
